2. Principle

3. No cookies, no tracking
This website uses no cookies, no web analytics tool (such as Google Analytics or Matomo), no advertising or social media pixels and no embedded third-party content. No profiling and no automated individual decision-making takes place. For this reason no cookie banner appears on this website.
The typefaces used (Newsreader, Inter) are stored locally on our server. Visiting the website therefore establishes no connection to Google Fonts or any other external service.
4. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Strasse 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. The hosting provider processes personal data on our behalf as a processor.
When the website is accessed, the server automatically records access data in what are known as log files. This is technically necessary in order to deliver the website and to ensure its secure operation. As a rule the following are recorded:
- the IP address of the requesting device
- the date and time of access
- the name and address of the file retrieved
- the volume of data transferred and confirmation of successful retrieval
- browser type and operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer), where transmitted
These data are not merged with other data sources and are not evaluated in order to identify individuals. They are deleted after 30 days. Longer storage occurs only where this is necessary to investigate a security incident.
5. Contact form
If you send us the contact form, we process the details you enter:
- name (required)
- company (optional)
- email address (required)
- the topic of your enquiry
- telephone number for a call back (optional)
- your message
The purpose of the processing is solely to handle and answer your enquiry and to explore a possible mandate relationship. The details are transmitted by email to our mailbox info@factory14.ch and stored there. No database is created on the web server.
To protect against automated messages, the form contains an additional field that is invisible to you (a so-called honeypot). No data about you are collected in this process and no third-party service is involved.
We retain enquiries for as long as is necessary to deal with them and with any follow-up questions, but at most 12 months. If the enquiry leads to a mandate, the statutory retention periods apply (in particular the ten-year retention obligation under Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations).
Please note: do not transmit particularly sensitive personal data or confidential transaction documents through the form. For sensitive content we will gladly agree a secure channel of transmission.
6. Contact by email
If you write to us directly by email, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry. Unencrypted email is sent across the open internet; complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in this process.

If, in the context of our employment placement activity, you send us a CV or further application documents, we process these solely in order to consider you for suitable positions. Disclosure to prospective employers takes place only with your prior consent in the individual case.
We retain your documents for 24 months and delete them thereafter. You may request deletion at any time.
8. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell personal data and do not pass them on for advertising purposes. Disclosure takes place only:
- to our hosting and email provider as a processor, bound by our instructions;
- with your express consent;
- where we are required to do so by law or by a public authority.
9. Disclosure abroad
Our hosting provider is domiciled in Germany. The Swiss Federal Council recognises the member states of the European Economic Area as states with an adequate level of data protection. No disclosure to any further states takes place.
10. Data security
This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. Absolute protection during transmission over the internet is not technically possible.
